'Get Over Sewing Machine Frustration
in 3-Steps'
100% YES
Garment Alteration methods are the same skill set as garment fit & finish techniques.
Lots of students start with Pattern-Cutting or Dressmaking before learning the finishing techniques - which is the top reason for unfinished projects or even giving-up sewing clothes.
Sarah is a personal style expert, experienced seamstress & founder of MYVOS®
Her mission is to elevate every woman’s mood, well-being and confidence just by opening her Wardrobe door - and clever garment alterations that turn standard off-the-peg size garments into real body shape clothing is one of her methods.
Her professional love affair with clothing began as a designer before becoming the lead Fashion & Clothing Lecturer at Gloucestershire College UK. Later adding Personal Colour Analysis to her repertoire, she was awarded ‘Best Image Consultant New Comer’ by CBM International. In 2019, Sarah won funding for her innovation in sustainable wardrobe editing services, which includes her seamstress teachings in how to alter and up-fashion clothing.

My fondest memory is the wonderful inspiration you were as a dressmaking teacher at night school.
No one surpassed you.

Biggest takeaway -wear your best things, wear the clothes that make you happy, it's ok to look good.
You have the gift of encouragement & that is very special.

Sarah is simply amazing! I have turned to MYVOS on many occasions over the past 10 years to help me redesign outfits and to create elaborate, stunning, masterpiece dresses, skirts, tops etc
Both.
'Sew it Wear it' is focused on sewing garment alterations & garment making.
It doesn't make any difference how experienced you are, or are not, because the tutorials are step-by-step and a sewing teacher is on hand to ask or demonstrate further. Which means depending on your experience and garment project, you will choose tutorials, skip through what you already know and ask for teacher support accordingly.
Whether you are just starting out on your sewing journey, have been sewing for decades, or anywhere in between, there is always a new garment, a different variable or a discovered method.
Yes, this is a monthly subscription, but the beauty of Sew it Wear it is that there is no minimum term. You are not tied in, and you can cancel at any time.
Live tutorials are recorded and uploaded to your member's area for you to watch, replay & pause as many times as you like.
The synchronised sewing sessions will be at different times/days each month to try and accommodate as many people as possible, and popular sessions will be regular.
No.
Each month will feature a new Sewing Tutorial, Garment fit knowledge, and/or Dress-making tips.
Members have the opportunity to request specific tutorials and knowledge.
The materials are how-to videos, accompanying PDF notes/patterns where applicable, and regular group sewing sessions.
